little update!

Sorry I haven’t been able to update!

I’ve been drawing, but no time to scan it in and upload onto here – there’s a couple that I’m holding onto because I’d like to colour them :D Brush up on my painting skills…

Here’s a lady I coloured in from one of my cafe sketches:

There are so many interesting characters in Toronto, I wish I had the ability to draw as I’m walking to work! But so far I can’t, so I try to keep them in my head and sketch them down later.

Will upload the rest of my cafe sketches soon!

dynamic duo sketch

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted !

I’ve been trying to learn me some Actionscript 3 to try to implement onto a new look for my portfolio site – it’s confusing ! But it’s coming along !

I was listening to a song by a group called Dynamic Duo, thus doodled something like a dynamic duo.. hahaha! It’s very rough, but I thought I’d bring it onto here, reminding me that I have this piece to complete…I tend to forget about some of the sketches that I start but the psd files mixes in with my complete drawings, they slip my mind ~

I’ve been hauling up my website as fast as I can the past week ! It’s going to be up and running soon :D

In the meantime, a piece that I completely forgot that I did not too long ago – found it while looking through all my photoshop files !

Will be posting my cafe sketches and other things once my website’s up !

boxer rough colours

I was looking for different kind of colouring styles I could try this time, and I got inspired by L.A. Noire’s art with the very contrasting lights and darks :D

Roughed out the shadows and highlights – the colours look a bit off again when I look at it through my tablet and then my monitor, but I kind of like it !

Happy with the light sources so far – might change the colours later.

I’ll be working on this in my free time, the rest is devoted to finishing up my website and demoreel now!

Hello !

It’s been awhile since I last posted – apartment got evacuated for almost a week so I haven’t been able to do anything on my computer !

The first day I was kicked out of my place, I roamed around the mall and library pretty much all day, and drew this:

I’ll post the original sketch once I’m finished the coloured version of this ! This was inspired by an outfit I saw in one of the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows :D

pink afro pixie

Random night drawing tonight – I’m liking soft pastel-y colours …

Something like a pixie, I wanted to make her head big and her body smaller – with a pink afro ! Maybe I’ll draw in the rest of her later..

days until hong kong !

Off to Hong Kong by the end of the week! I’ll be gone until Mid-Autumn Festival – around the beginning of October.

So now I’m packing stuff.. packing my tablet snugly, I want to be drawing lots when I get back :D Hopefully the computer there can handle Photoshop.. or else that’ll suck pretty hard.

I’m still painting my grandpa’s picture! It’s finally starting to not look so blank and bleak :D Don’t it look FIERCE!

..and that’s where it is as of now.

dragon painting

This month I’ve been starting to paint a dragon for my grandpa’s place in Hong Kong! I haven’t painted since I went into college, so it was very slow… haha :D I went to go visit my drawing teacher – haven’t seen her since I stopped classes when I went into college too! I had to ask her how to paint again – light to dark ? Dark to light ? What ? :D

I’ve always learned painting by replicating a picture and that’s what I’m doing now! Honestly I haven’t touched this in so long..  I don’t think I can come up with my own design yet :/ Later on!

It’s going to be a looong process :D I need to finish this by the end of the month!

Offtopic thing here, but I wrapped up a new notebook I got at the dollar store (very sturdy, I like) with a picture I found in a Milk Magazine…looks purty nice!

retr-whoa! (wip)

Whoa, as in I need to get back to working on my animation!

I took a little break from it at 12:30ish to sketch something that inspired me in a jap magazine :) The model on the cover looked really pretty – pale with only a pink flush on the cheeks. It’s nice to sketch and colour in stuff after such a long time. I missed it – drawing and drawing not knowing what the time was but you just want to keep drawing :] So now I see that it’s almost 2am. Dang!

I’ll finish this soooon, after the school year’s over~
