little update!

Sorry I haven’t been able to update!

I’ve been drawing, but no time to scan it in and upload onto here – there’s a couple that I’m holding onto because I’d like to colour them :D Brush up on my painting skills…

Here’s a lady I coloured in from one of my cafe sketches:

There are so many interesting characters in Toronto, I wish I had the ability to draw as I’m walking to work! But so far I can’t, so I try to keep them in my head and sketch them down later.

Saturday at the mall was super crowded !

Everyone bustling around to buy bags and bags of gifts !

I thought I’d colour in today’s sketches, picked a new brush to shade with – I like its texture !

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted – I’m trying to finish up painting this sketch and a sculpture I’m doing the past month! A long time since I’ve worked with Sculpey, but I forgot how fun it was :D

The boots and clunky jackets are all coming back out now ~

Animation Portfolio Workshop has a 14 day design challenge going on, where you try to create characters based on the basic shape uploaded each day !

Here’s two that I’ve done so far :

 

dynamic duo sketch

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted !

I’ve been trying to learn me some Actionscript 3 to try to implement onto a new look for my portfolio site – it’s confusing ! But it’s coming along !

I was listening to a song by a group called Dynamic Duo, thus doodled something like a dynamic duo.. hahaha! It’s very rough, but I thought I’d bring it onto here, reminding me that I have this piece to complete…I tend to forget about some of the sketches that I start but the psd files mixes in with my complete drawings, they slip my mind ~

athletic succubus

Kind of a succubus ? Or a lady with horns, I’m not sure. Those twisty horns are hard to angle right !

Either way, she’s supposed to be mid-pouncing something ! She looks athletic, dangerous.

Also reminds me of Mystique…

cafe sketches, june – july

Hey hey ! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but I’ve still been drawing ! Just never got around to posting stuffs.. :D

Some cafe sketches in the past 2 months – it’s hard getting seats at Starbucks or the food court at the mall, it’s getting crowded now that the weather’s super summery.

 

 

Slowly but surely, I’m drawing the whole person instead of just their heads – yay !

This is a coloured version of a sketch I did in one of the pages – drunk lady at Square One food court !

When that lady went over to pull a random lady’s baby carriage (with baby inside being like, “what?”) and dragged it a couple feet, then getting in the parents’ face and then using a shopping cart nearby to blocking her from leaving…something was about to go down. Security came, pulled her over to the side, incidentally right beside where I was sitting to ask her what is her deal. She chucks her soda into one of them and it spills, andddddd she gets cuffed and hauled off, while wriggling around yelling stuff. Whoa !

Funny thing was I saw her a bit earlier standing around too, just didn’t know she was actually drunk !

A page of people’s faces, and I added a rainbow scheme for colour ! Picked up an iPod nano colour palette, trying it out :D

Here is the original version, as well as the coloured – the coloured one turned out a little too bright !

Yay !
