Excited about this piece – it’s still choppy and in need of lots of changes, but here’s what I have so far !

The character is a free rig I used called Sergio.

Haven’t been able to post/do anything during my last week of school, it was all demoreel cramming time. Man, the week was brutal :D As for my demoreel – overall I’m proud of it, but I wasn’t able to completely finish one so the last piece is still a Work in Progress, and I feel that I could still polish up my other animations for sure!
Since I’ve been done school, I went to go get DS Lite from Pacific Mall (I knoww, kinda late and why not get a DSi? Lots of reasons!) thanks to my friend Niki for accompanying me :D Or else I probably would be lurking around the windows going, “should I buy it…I want to buy it..hmmm…” :D
I got to draw a bit! Yay! Learned some new stuff when my friend Alvin came into class Friday to give a short digital painting demo – yay!
Anyway, hope you enjoy my demoreel, it’s what I have to show for of the last 14 weeks of my program – feel free to critique!
School is DONE!
This is the next animation I’m going to be starting on, a clip from “Pineapple Express” :D
I timed out my super rough thumbnails – planning is key! I kind of learned that in my last animation because I kept going back to some parts to redo it when I could’ve planned it out on paper first.. lesson learned!

I finally got around to rendering one of my animations from my demo reel :D The ones in my demo reel are playblasted soo.. yeah, these ones are better quality! There’s no sounds in it – maybe I’ll add sound effects later !

My second animation is taking waaay longer than expected – I’m going to be so stressed out for my next one that I’ll have to finish in ohh….3-4 days !?!? I’d high-five myself if I got it done :D
So I was working to 6am this morning, and I came across some funny poses while I was animating my characters XD It cheered me up a bit!

I got less than 1.5 weeks to get my demo reel together, I still have an animation to do! So you can imagine what the state of my brain’s been these days..not to mention my birthday’s smack in the middle of it – no real celebrating, except to celebrate it with HOMEWORK! hahaha…. ahh =__= I’ll get through it !
I took shots of what I’m trying to finish ASAP so I can get started on my other one – animating two characters’ is killer! Just when you think you’re finished-OH, RIGHT, THAT OTHER DUDE IN THE PICTURE’S NOT MOVIN..

The Tug O War animation was the first animation (I think) that I did straight ahead animation on – no planning !
Here are some of the animations from this year that I’ve finished for my animation class… all done on paper ! Oh man… animating on paper is … cruel. Hahahaha.. to the trees and to my hand, my eyes and my mind. But it’s worth it when you get to see it all finished and put together :]
